Marshall Canada requires a Fitter B – Electrical in Moncton to join our team. Reporting to the Supervisor - Components & Assembly, the Electrical Fitters are responsible for the installation of cabling, wiring, and electro-mechanical components into deployable shelters.Your responsibilities in this role:Assemble and install electrical components into deployable shelters using engineering drawings and associated design data;Read schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures;Operate standard equipment including but not limited to various testing tools;Assemble and install component pieces using hand and power tools;Adhere to all Health and Safety, and Quality policies and procedures;Participate in the creation of job instructions, operating procedures;Participate in continuous improvement activities;Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor – Components & Assembly.Apply if you have most of the following:Working towards Red Seal Industrial Electrician trade certification;Minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, or demonstrated capability within Marshall production facility;Experience with electronics, and controls are preferred;Willing to learn other international electrical codes and practices;Must be well organized, self-motivated and results oriented, to ensure work assignments are completed in a timely manner;Able to deal with and support change;Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMED;Attention to detail;Able to build trust and respect among fellow team members;Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office SuitesAvailable to work overtime as required;Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentialityMust be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.About Marshall:Marshall Canada is part of the 110-year-old Marshall Group of Companies, an independent private organization headquartered in Cambridge (UK).Located in Ottawa, Abbotsford and Moncton, Marshall Canada provides military and commercial customers with a range of world-leading applied engineering services and product solutions across Canada and beyond.
