Further information is available at www.nfigroup.com .   POSITION SUMMARY: The Server Administrator is crucial in managing and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure. This can be broken down into these responsibilities: Systems and Network Configuration/Maintenance  Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution  Backup and Disaster Recovery  Performance Optimization  Provide Support for Infrastructure and other IT Teams    WHAT YOU WILL DO: System Administration Duties:   Optimizes Server and network hardware for performance based on application requirements.  Applies server application and network patches and upgrades in conjunction with the Desktop Support Analyst(s) and the end users to ensure stability and performance objectives are met.  Maintains and enforces systems, network and Firewall security as dictated by established policies and procedures. Installs, debugs, and troubleshoots server-based operating systems and applications as well as network hardware and software components. Performs monitoring, troubleshooting, and configuration of network resources (e.g. leased lines, switches, routers, etc.)  Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure-related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance.    Strategic Planning, Projects, and Cross-Functional duties:   Follows standards, policies and operational procedures relating to system and network infrastructure.  Follows migration plans and interfaces with other administrators and analysts to coordinate changes. Implements and manages changes to the virtualization environments in conjunction with other system network administrators within the guidelines of the virtualization strategy.  Implements infrastructure projects using standard “Project Management” methodologies. Participates in internal security audits in conjunction with the Security Administrator    Organizational Duties:   Keep Leadership informed through regular and open communication. Deal constructively and helpfully with all members of the Organization (Coworkers, Customers, Suppliers)  Adhere to the policies and procedures of the organization. Be always a positive representative of the organization. Adopt, promote and support operational excellence initiatives identified by the organization (5S, Workplace Org Lean, etc).  WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:   Education  Degree – Computer Science  Diploma – 2-year Computer Technology  Experience/Knowledge 5+ Years experience managing systems and networks in an enterprise environment.  5+ years managing an enterprise email system (MS Exchange).  5+ years managing an enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure.  3-5+ Years experience managing virtual infrastructures with a strong understanding of virtual networking.  3-5+ Years experience managing network technologies (OSPF and BGP), 802.1x Authentication, WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise wireless encryption, VPNs, and application-level firewalls. 3-5+ Years experience with cloud administration in an enterprise environment. 3- 5+ years experience with task automation/scripting and capable of using Powershell. 3-5+ Years experience with firewalls and internet service providers in an enterprise environment.   Specific Job Skills Good analytical skills Good communication skills Good planning and organizational skills MS server OS administration Linux OS administration MS Exchange Administration Active Directory installation/configuration Backup and Recovery Network Backup and Recovery skills.
