Estimator/ CNC Machine Shop

Modern Clean Machine shop in Inkster Industrial Park Winnipeg MB.

We have created a new position in our company and are looking for the right person to fill and develop the job.

We need an Estimator and job coordinator who can work with management to increase and streamline our existing business as well as expand our work and customer base.

• Preparing customer quotations
• Obtaining cost estimates from suppliers
• Prepare materials, labor and equipment cost estimations necessary to successfully carry out a project according to proposals, plans, estimates and specifications.
• Prepare and/or coordinate the preparation of full cost estimates on conceptual, design-build or general tender work
• Support other department personnel by preparing drawings and estimates for other disciplines.
• Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials

Skills Required :

• Must have 3 years of machine shop experience.
• Experience in estimating.
• Completion of College/Technical Training or equivalent.
• Must have a proven background in machine shop operations and be capable of preparing complete costing estimates.
• Capable of reading and understanding engineered drawings and documents.
• Knowledge of fabrication and welding.
• Excellent time management, planning and organization skills and ability to work with mínimal supervision.
• Solid computer skills including experience in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Microsoft Project. Outlook and able to use Auto cad drawings.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of steel and aluminium is critical to the position.

Salary : $24.00-$34.00 per hour
