Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:As the PLM System Administrator, you will manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and analyze the software (Centric PLM), the network, and all related issues including version upgrade, service pack updates, and data import/export with all integrated systems to meet the business requirements of the company in a demanding global marketplace. You are accountable for managing the stabilization of all Centric environments and keeping the environments in sync at all times. You will work closely with the Centric support/hosting teams, Arc’teryx infrastructure team, Helpdesk and understand project releases and system architectures. Meet Your Future Team:The Merchandising and Product Lifecycle Technology team in the Technology department is responsible for the enterprise-wide Product Lifecycle Management System (Centric), the core system used by Design, Product Development, and Merchant teams. In this role you will work with both internal and external teams of people to ensure the reliability, security, and stability of our PLM ecosystem, and to deliver new systems and interfaces that will connect and bind the people and processes that make up Arc’teryx. You and your team will be at the front of the systems that connect though the value chain.If you were a PLM System Administrator now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:Managing, supporting, troubleshooting, and/or maintaining the following: PLM System Performance issues Export job failure and/or integration to other downstream systems Centric integrations to SAP and Trade Automation Configuration/site files/custom actions files aligned between environments. Copy down/refresh/ Database & site files backup by working with Centric support team Service restart/ Service pack upgrade/ Version upgrade/ patches/ Hotfix by working with Centric support team Supporting the PLM users resolving software bugsFostering and maintaining a collaborative working relationship with the Centric business consultants, Centric support team and their technical teamsWorking closely with project, development, and QA teams on integration projects, to define system requirements and execute configuration work, with support from Centric Consultants, as needed Building data exports from Centric for use in other systems and ensure that the data sent meets the requirements of the receiving systems (such as Data Warehouse or others) Implementing and supporting the Centric High Speed Exporter capability at Arc’teryx, and migrating all PLM integrations to use the HSEManaging user rights and roles within the system (security access) Preparing and coordinating system changes for release in addition to managing the implementation phase Maintaining existing documentation and creating new documentation where neededReporting dysfunctions to the Centric support team as required, contributing to the problem-solving, and communicating the solution to the business teamsProviding support to the Arc’teryx Infrastructure and Application teams as requiredHere are some of the things you could be working on in the future:Define best practices and build awareness across the organizationProvide guidance and leadership to team membersImplementation of next generation integrated systemsAre you our next PLM System Administrator? You have 5+ years of experience in a system admin/system support or developer role You have post-secondary education in an IT-related subject or equivalent business experience You have a solid understanding of hardware and network implementation requirements You have a solid understanding of server technology, including physical and virtual server environments You have a solid understanding of Cloud-based software and Infrastructure hosting and troubleshooting. You have experience with AWS You have technical skills in advanced Excel, script writing, SQL Server database programming, and data mapping and loading You have a solid understanding of software setup and configuration utilities You have previous experience working in and administering enterprise systems (PLM systems like Centric, ERP systems like SAP) You possess a high level of analytical and critical thinking You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is right You have strong communication skills and the ability to effectively explain concepts and processes to end-users and your own cross-functional team membersYou have the ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities and pride yourself on your ability to reliably deliver on your commitmentsYou remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it $80,000 - $100,000 a yearA reasonable estimate of the pay range is $80,000 - $100,000 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
