The Role: As the Compensation and People Analytics Advisor, you will partner with the People and Culture team to provide compensation and people-related ideas and insights by proactively researching and analyzing data. This is a great job if you have direct HR and Analytics experience and enjoy getting immersed in data and telling a story with it. The work comprises 60% analyzing people analytics data and 40% compensation and related projects. Responsibilities include: Applies knowledge of analytics to tell stories related to talent acquisition, performance, learning, talent development, diversity, compensation, and retention to help diagnose and identify HR challenges Conducts analyses and provides reports on specific issues or topics related to benefits, compensation, leave, demographic information, span of control, and other talent analytics In partnership with People Services Client Partners, provides strategic consultation and advice to CLBC Managers in the areas of job analysis, job evaluation, job specification and job descriptions Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine compensation ranges for each position Calculates and provides guidance and recommendations regarding initial salary offers, annual salary increases, classification adjustments, substitution pay, retirement allowances and other salary transactions, as required To excel in this role, enjoy being immersed in data and telling a story with it. You have: Strong aptitude and precision in working with data Demonstrated business and financial acumen and strong analytical ability Ability to apply critical thinking to problem-solve issues Ability to handle pressure and work in a dynamic work environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines, emerging issues, and competing demands Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources 3-5 years of direct experience in Compensation and People Analytics Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or People Analytics Certificate preferred An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training may be considered Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel; familiar with Power BI Benefits You will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including an employer-paid extended health and dental plan, a BC Public Service Pension plan with employer contributions, generous vacation, and more!
