Administrative Assistant

The Reynolds Museum currently is looking for an administrative assistant to work alongside the Coordinator of Administrative Services in keeping the museum running smoothly. This is a year-round, part-time position. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM, Government of Alberta holidays excluded.

The Administrative Assistant will:

  • Answer the phone and direct calls to the appropriate area
  • Reconcile cash blotters
  • Assist with daily cash handling and cash deposits
  • File
  • Scanning of receipts and other documents
  • Maintenance of Excel spreadsheets
  • Preparation of outgoing mail
  • Other miscellaneous office work as required

Skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficiency in English with additional language an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, critical problem solving and initiative
  • Ability to function effectively in an ever-changing environment and deal with frequent interruptions

Other Assets:

  • Emergency First Aid
  • Familiarity with the ATMS+ system

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • A valid Class 5, Alberta Operator’s License
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to lift, move and carry up to 20 kg
  • Ability to work 5 days per week
  • A clean Criminal Records check

Hourly Wage: $16.00 to $17.80

Term: Part-time, year round
