build trusting relationships with children, youth and families

support high risk youth and families

plan and attend parent support nights

support in case-conferences

participate and contribute to a student's transition plan

communicate with school administration

collaborate with inter-agency groups with regard to Indigenous children and youth well being

support Indigenous youth within their natural support system

create youth profiles in order to identify areas of need and access community supports

foster relationships between Indigenous youth, school and natural support systems.

In addition to cultural sensitivity and Indigenous awareness, holding credentials equal to, or in excess of: a Diploma in Child and Youth Care, ASIST Suicide Awareness Training, certification in CPR and First Aid, and SIVA training or its equivalent would be considered an asset in the pursuit of this position.
