Matchbox is seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in residential construction to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, including custom homes, renovations, and multi-family developments. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.Key Responsibilities:Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of residential construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Team Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities, resolve issues, and ensure smooth workflow.Contract Management: Review and interpret contract drawings, specifications, and documents to ensure compliance and minimize risks.Budget and Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control processes to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.Safety Compliance: Ensure all worksites comply with safety regulations and standards, conduct regular safety inspections, and address any concerns promptly.Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues or concerns in a timely manner.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and financial records. Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.Resource Management: Manage resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize productivity and minimize waste.Problem Solving: Identify potential risks and challenges proactively, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues promptly to keep projects on track.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in residential construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing custom homes, renovations, and multi-family projects.Strong knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, and regulations.Ability to read and interpret contract drawings, specifications, and documents.Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Gold Seal or Red Seal Carpenter (journeyman) accreditation (nice to have).Trade background with progressive experience in general contracting (nice to have).Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.Commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.Additional Information: This position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a key role in the successful delivery of residential construction projects.
