Duties and Responsibilities 1. Install, set up, and sustain Microsoft server operating systems, specifically Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019), ensuring their consistent availability and dependability. 2. Oversee Active Directory services, encompassing user and group management, domain setup, and Group Policy control. 3. Monitor system performance and resolve issues concerning Microsoft server operating systems, applications, and services. 4. Configure and enhance networks. Manage system upgrades including BIOS, BMC, iDRAC, as well as firmware updates for various hardware components like NICs and disk controllers. 5. Implement security protocols and adhere to best practices to safeguard the organization's Microsoft systems against potential security breaches. 6. Conduct routine system backups and establish disaster recovery protocols to mitigate downtime and data loss risks. 7. Collaborate with other IT departments to design, deploy, and maintain integrated solutions aligned with business needs. 8. Strategize and execute system updates, patches, and migrations with minimal disruption to business operations. 9. Provide technical assistance and guidance to end-users and fellow IT personnel as required. 10. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines to uphold accurate records and a knowledge repository. 11. Remain abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices relevant to Microsoft systems administration. Requirements • Demonstrated expertise as a Microsoft Systems Administrator or in a similar capacity. • Thorough understanding of Microsoft server operating systems, encompassing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. • Knowledge of cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure or Office 365 is advantageous. • Proficient grasp of networking principles, protocols, and security concepts. • Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical capabilities. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Preferably holds relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server.
