Job Duties

• Under basic supervision, operates a Tractor Trailer or Roll off truck to designated project sites in the GTA and throughout the province
• Transport various equipment to project sites and remove equipment accordingly
• Perform daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance; make minor adjustments and repairs.
• Records information associated with the specific tasks carried out in a drivers log
• Driving logs are required daily via smart phone or tablet
• Position Requirements

Requirements :

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Oversize Truck Experience
• Possess a valid AZ driver's license with a clean drivers abstract
• Class 1 air brakes with at least 5 years' experience in Tractor Trailer or Roll off truck.
• End dump experience would be considered an asset
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Experience with routine maintenance operations.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
• As per the Ministry of Transportation, commercial vehicle operators are required to record driving logs every day, according to the legislation.

Work Conditions

• 24/7 availability may be required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Travel to off-site locations may be required.
• Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots,
• Overtime as required.
