Responsibilities: Create inspiring and functional high-fidelity visual designs for in-game UI. Work with the team to understand the player needs, motivations, behaviors in order to improve the user experience. Craft UI solutions to balance the interplay between player/user goals, our goals, and technical feasibility using a user-centered approach. Work with UX designers, UI scripters and UI engineers to deliver UI features. Create animations/motion designs for transitions and feedback to support the player experience. Skills We Look For: 2+ years of experience as a UI Artist or UI Designer for console or PC games. Excellent graphic design skills including typography, layout, composition, iconography and color. High level of competence in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects. Experience developing and applying style-guides/design systems. Proficient in creating animations/motion graphics using After Effects or similar software packages. Good technical understanding and appreciation for smart ways to create flexible, efficient and scalable UI. Passion for UX, information design, and creating pixel-perfect solutions. Experience working within a game engine to create and implement UI features. Experience working with Figma would be a bonus. BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. HOURLY PAY RANGES • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $79,900 - $111,900 CAN Annually Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
