General Labourer

As a outside laborer, you are responsible to ensure that the landfill property is kept in a neat and tidy manner. This entry-level position is located at the Mission Flats Landfill in Kamloops. This is a day shift, 8hrs/40hrs per week.

Job Duties

• General yard clean-up and maintenance of the site
• Comfortable working with and around the public
• This is primarily an outside position and you must be prepared to work in inclement weather
• Working in a safe manner
• Punctual and excellent attendance
• Safety footwear is required
• Driving to different sites within the Kamloops area and assisting where required and needed
• Other duties as assigned by the landfill manager or site supervisor.

Requirements :

• Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required
• Required to have a valid driver’s license
• Self-starter, motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong relationship and interpersonal skills
• Strong ability to follow oral and written instructions properly
