George Jeffrey Children’s Centre (GJCC) is a paediatric health facility in Thunder Bay, Ontario providing occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech-language pathology, social work, recreation, and behaviour support services to children and youth with physical, communication and developmental needs. GJCC is currently seeking a full-time Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) to work with our multi-disciplinary team, providing services to children, youth, their families and care-team. Primary responsibilities include providing clinical supervision to behaviour services staff, assisting the Manager, Client Services by participating in program development and evaluation of new initiatives and working directly with clients to carry out treatment plans, when required. Occasional travel within the City and District of Thunder Bay may be required.

  • Must have one of the following professional designations:

  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)

  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst - Doctoral (BCBA-D)

  • Clinical Psychologist or Psychological Associate registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario with documented expertise in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).

  • Master’s Degree in a related field of study; including, but not limited to social studies, health sciences.

  • Advanced knowledge of the characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral); ability to receive and incorporate feedback and advanced self-reflection skills are required

  • Minimum of two (2)

  • years post certification experience working in a paediatric setting is an asset, experience with ASD diagnosis is preferred

  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team-member

  • Must hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a personal vehicle
