Senior Surety Underwriter (Hybrid)

Description Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Surety Underwriter to join their team in Vancouver! The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years’ experience in underwriting experience within a Surety organization, and with strong communication and management skills.Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to: Maintaining, practicing, and implementing Contract Surety policies, guidelines, and proceduresResponsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the Surety Contract business through the adherence to business strategic planAbility to build strong partnerships and collaborate to ensure best outcomes for company and the BrokerEnsure endorsements, renewals, reissues, and cancellations are reviewed and analyzed in accordance with standards and guidelines Requirements: 5+ years of underwriting experience within a Surety organization University degree, preferably commerce, economics and/or business co-op degree Proficient technical knowledge of complex risks in line of business and segmentsTeam player with strong leadership, management, and communication skills DGA Careers has been proudly serving the Canadian insurance industry for over 30 years, specializing in providing insurance recruiting services to major insurers, insurance brokerage firms and independent adjusting firms.
