Job Purpose : To support continuous and safe production of reliable heat exchangers for our automotive and off-highway recreation vehicle customers through the repair and improvement of equipment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Perform Preventative and Corrective Maintenance to all tooling including but not limited to stamping die’s, swage fixtures, leak test fixtures, roll forming tooling and general machining
  • Complete work orders in E-Maint CMMS including Preventative Maintenance, Scheduled Corrective Maintenance, Non-Scheduled Corrective and Project Maintenance
  • Close out work orders in E-Maint CMMS including adding parts and labor to work order
  • Respond to emergency breakdown Tool & Die phone pages in a timely fashion
  • Actively participate in tooling upgrades and or improvements
  • Escalate tooling concerns to toolroom supervision
  • Perform all work while observing industry best practice
  • Work within your capabilities and within the constraints of your specific trade
  • Actively participate in process improvements including DOS activities
  • Conduct all work while observing Dana’s Health and Safety Policy’s
  • Conduct all work while observing Dana’s Quality policy’s
  • Attend monthly toolbox and hourly communication meetings
  • Be familiar with and support departmental and company KPI’s
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner and always demonstrate respect for fellow workers
  • Understanding Dana focus on customer centricity
  • “The voice of the customer” and safety as everyone’s priority

Qualifications :

  • Certified Tool and Die Maker in good standing with the Ontario College of Trades
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Tool Room experience
  • Excellent analytical abilities and a solid background hand tool/machine shop equipment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter able to work with mínimal supervision
  • Highly motivated, organized and able to prioritize
  • Team player with ability to perform tasks safely and productively
  • Experience in an industrial setting
