Carpenter Craftsman

Our growing construction company is looking for a skilled and capable carpenter to join our team. You’ll follow the project manager’s direction to help construct and maintain a variety of long-lasting buildings and products. Compensation: $30 - $50 hourly Responsibilities: Build door and window frames, stairways, rafters, and partitions Check existing sketches and blueprints to understand project requirements Quantify, shape, cut, and smooth carpentry materials Sculpt and piece together siding, drywall, kitchen cabinets, and furniture Certify drywall, roofing, and flooring are level and compatible Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, molding, and hardware. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects. Adhere to established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications. Qualifications: Successfully completed formal carpentry apprenticeship In-depth knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques Accurate measuring and math skills required Must have valid driver’s license Great physical condition and dexterity Proven experience as a carpenter (3+ years preferred). Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools. Ability to read technical documents and drawings. Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction. Proficient in basic math skills. Excellent communication skills. High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is preferred.
