Position Summary Elements Casino Victoria is currently looking for a Shift Manager, Cage to join our Cage team. This position will be responsible for assisting the Operations Manager, Cage in the overall support of the Cage and Count Team. This individual will support our team members, will lead by example, and will provide a learning environment for all team members. The Shift Manager, Cage will also ensure adherence to all policies and procedures. It’s All You...   Key Accountabilities • Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to Cage and Count team members • Provide assistance to the Operations Manager in the recruitment and hiring process • Resolve disputes; reports irregularities, and suspicious activities; review and prepare CSR Incident Reports • Make recommendations on opportunities for efficiencies and takes action as required • Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments • Comply with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations • Assist in the implementation of promotions and communicating these to team members • Assist the Operations Manager in the reviewing of revenue reports, labour costs reports, accounting summary and shift summary reports • Perform other duties as assigned or directed  Education and Qualifications • Outstanding guest service skills • Understanding of yourself as well as others when communicating with team members and guests • Strong communication and mathematical skills • Has the knowledge and ability to monitor and report all discrepancies and suspicious cash/activities • Strong MS Office skills • Experience in managing or supervising a large team in a gaming environment • Ability to adapt and work a flexible schedule • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills • Professional attitude and appearance, strong interpersonal skills and a team player. • Excellent multi-tasking skills • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB) Work Environment Considerations Regular casino and cage environment, standing or sitting for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours Great Canadian Gaming Corporation is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and we welcome all qualified applicants to apply to join our team of unique contributors.
