Under the direction of the Station Manager, the Supervisor 2 assists in managing the day-to-day field primary and remedial cementing operations on location and at the shop. As a role requiring existing oilfield cementing supervisory experience, this role is also responsible for mentoring current and aspiring Supervisors. This position is considered to be a safety-sensitive position. Job ResponsibilitiesManage and mentor personnel, equipment and materials to ensure they arrive at location on time.Execute successful cementing jobs according to design/client specification; understand rigging in/out procedures.Ensure efficient handling of day-to-day operations.Ensure critical tasks are completed on every cementing job, including but not limited to measuring the density of cement using a pressurized scale, collecting samples, utilizing radios on location, blowing down all units and P-tanks after every job.Communicate effectively with clients and internally with other departments, including Sales and Dispatch.Work with station management to maintain operation and service standards and assist in leadership of the Station.Evaluate Bulk Drivers and Operators on weekly maintenance requirements and equipment rebuilding.Adhere to and enforce company Safety policies and ensure compliance with HSE legislation.Prepare end of well, end of month, incident, abnormalities, maintenance, logbook, and end of jobs tickets and reports, or other reporting, as required.Verify load tickets and conduct / participate in incident reporting.Implement and maintain procedures to ensure high level of service.Develop and maintain strong external/internal client relationships in support of company values and objectives.Work with management to improve policy and procedures.Supervise a crew on any primary, remedial and pump job that Magnum undertakes.Demonstrate the ability to operate any four of the core pieces of equipment.Train and mentor current and aspiring Supervisor 1’s.Complete Supervisor 1 and 2 sections of MAP (Magnum’s internal competency evaluation program).Participate in training and development activities.Other general duties as required.Qualifications - RequiredExperience as an oil and gas cementing supervisor and in operating pumpers.Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate the work of others.Valid class 1 (Canada) / class A CDL (U.S.) driver’s license with a clean driving record.Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg., bending, standing, gripping, sitting/driving, walking, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time and in all types of weather conditions.Able to be on call 24 hours on a 15 days on a 6 days off rotational schedule, remaining fit for duty at all times (subject to change due to market conditions).Able to work in congested or confined areas, and with exposure to loud noises and vibrationsLegally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.Qualifications - Looking ForGood computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and other software, as required.Experience in the completion of reports.Experience in dealing with customers and dispatch.Understanding of cementing job design and client specifications.Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety.Able to perform calculations required to execute a cement job.Able to perform all regular maintenance on equipment.Demonstrated leadership.Strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliable, and dependable.Flexible and able to adapt to change.Team player and customer service focused.Demonstrated initiative and results orientated.Qualifications - AssetsPossesses oilfield tickets.Demonstrated continuous improvement.Experience operating cement and bulk equipment.Twin pumper and deep hole cementing experience.Remedial cementing experience.Ability to rebuild equipment.
