Job Title: Digital Solutions Business Analyst

Overview: As a Digital Solutions Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between technology and business needs within our organization. You will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and designing digital solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and user experience. Your insights and recommendations will drive strategic decision-making and contribute to the successful implementation of digital initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to understand their business objectives, processes, and pain points. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather requirements effectively.

  2. Analysis and Documentation: Analyze gathered requirements and document detailed business and functional specifications. Clearly articulate business needs, workflows, use cases, and acceptance criteria for digital solutions.

  3. Solution Design: Work closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs. Ensure that proposed solutions align with business goals, budgetary constraints, and technical feasibility.

  4. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization through the implementation of digital solutions. Propose innovative ideas and strategies to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

  5. Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating effective communication and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular updates, presentations, and demonstrations to stakeholders to keep them informed of project progress.

  6. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to define test plans and test cases based on business requirements. Conduct testing activities to ensure that delivered solutions meet quality standards and functional requirements.

  7. Change Management: Support change management efforts by assisting in the development of training materials, conducting user training sessions, and providing post-implementation support to ensure smooth transition and adoption of digital solutions.

  8. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital transformation. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation to drive continuous enhancement of digital capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, with a focus on digital solutions and technology-driven initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data and business processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in requirements elicitation, documentation, and solution design techniques.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Familiarity with business process modeling tools, such as BPMN or UML.
  • Experience with project management tools and techniques.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) and/or Agile (e.g., Certified Scrum Master) is a plus.

The Digital Solutions BA role includes the below responsibilities: Evaluate and analyze business practices and identify areas of process & system improvement across the organization Serve as an expert in technical business processes , promoting increased efficiency on multiple levels Author analysis and solution proposal documentation based on evaluations Ensure positive results by measuring the impact of implemented process & system solutions in the organization Support the Technology Project Manager in planning & implementing digital transformation initiatives Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (IE Finance, HR, Operations) to develop & maintain process documentation in a collaborative fashion
