About the Opportunity : The psychiatrist of the Rapid Access and Stabilization Program (the Program) of the Community Mental Health and Addictions (CMHA) services of the Adult Mental Health and Addictions Program (MHAP) of the Central Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority (CZ-NSHA), contributes to the Service’s clinical quality of care, using a person-centered evidence-based/informed and socially responsible approach. Working with the Program’s administrative leadership and with internal and external partners, such as central intake staff and primary care leadership, they champion excellence in health care and related education and innovation provided by clinicians of the Program and by others involved with the Program.

Remuneration and To Apply :

  • The position is funded through an Academic/Alternative Funding Plan. This covers direct and indirect care, virtual care, clinical administration, care coordination, etc.
  • Psychiatric call is remunerated as per department of psychiatry funding mechanism
  • Enhancements based on academic rank are also available
