THE OPPORTUNITY The Communities Services Specialist is focused on providing outstanding customer service and supporting the operations, leasing, and warranty of our communities. The role involves acting as a well-rounded generalist who can jump in and assist on a variety of different support services. The main component is supporting leasing in our operating communities and managing our warranty in our for-sale communities. This position will report to our Communities Services Manager. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Supporting prospective Community Members through our leasing process and setting them up for viewings with our on-site teams
  • Reviewing market trends and making pricing recommendations for our rental communities
  • Managing our warranty process and working with Highstreet Homeowners to get their issues resolved.
  • Working with trade partners in resolving warranty requests
  • Scheduling appointments with homeowners
  • Supporting the opening of new communities through deficiency inspections, move-in, or other hands-on support.
  • Leasing and Support for Aspen View (Comox)
  • Warranty Support and on-site visits/investigations for Sky Gate & City Gate (Langford), Mosaic (Parksville), Lakeview Terrace (Nanaimo), Aurora (Comox)
  • Travel up and down the island is expected therefore Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation is required
  • Attendance at Island based communities for lease-up support (rental), deficiency inspections, homeowner welcomes, and warranty inspections (for-sale)
  • Other regional support and service as required

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Strong customer service background
  • Technically savvy, and proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with property management and CRM software a bonus (Yardi/Salesforce), not required
  • Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act, not required, but an asset

Additional requirements :

  • Be available for travel, as required.
  • Satisfactory criminal and credit record check.

Additional Information : The Communities Services Specialist works amongst a team of three CSS. Each CSS is responsible for a specific region and properties, but collaboration and support amongst the team is expected.

Salary : $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
