About the roleCanadian Blood Services is looking for a regular full-time Project, Portfolio and Reporting Associate to join our dynamic Strategic Performance team in our Medical Affairs and Innovation division. The Strategic Performance team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services through the provision of strategic planning and integration services for the Medical Affairs and Innovation division. The team works closely with the VP and other senior leadership to represent the division using a broad range of planning, performance and communication vehicles. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the project portfolio and reporting activities of the Medical Affairs and Innovation division (MAI). On occasion, you will also lead small projects or continuous improvement activities or contribute to larger divisional projects. Reporting to the Director, Strategy Planning, and Integration Management, you will work closely with the Strategic Performance team and other functional business groups to achieve divisional objectives in accordance with established cost and time parameters. Formula for success Leveraging your strong interpersonal skills and ability to contribute effectively to a team environment, you will collaborate with MAI leaders to communicate, coordinate, monitor and report on divisional activities and performance to Executive team and Board of Directors. Drawing on your ability to analyse complex problems, interpret business needs and develop integrated, creative solutions, you will lead the continuous improvement of reporting processes on behalf of the division, providing feedback and analysis to reporting contributors and updating divisional reports as necessary. Concentrating on your excellent organizational and facilitation skills, you will develop, maintain, and communicate information on the divisional portfolio of projects, using corporate tools – Roadmunk, Microsoft Project online, ClearPoint, SharePoint site, etc. Focusing on your ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines, you will plan, coordinate, and integrate activities of specific smaller projects and/or components of major, complex projects on behalf of the Strategic Performance team or the MAI division. Utilizing your excellent attention to detail, accuracy and creativity, you will contribute to the development of communications materials (e.g. briefing notes, PowerPoint presentations, papers) in support of programs. You will be required to performs other related duties as required. Desired education and skills Completion of post-secondary level education, preferably a university degree or college diploma in a related field (e.g. business administration, medical office administration, communications and/or project management). A minimum of three years related experience in similar roles. Proven experience successfully interacting and building credibility with senior managers and stakeholders. Ability to develop accurate and detailed reports for a variety of audiences. Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in computer software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Depending on where you are located, you may be required to come to Ottawa for team meetings 2-3 times per year, and as required.
