THE POSITION

The Junior Designer will support the Senior Designer with the management of complex interior design projects. The incumbent will have a focus on interior design, assisting with the creation of technical drawings, including permit drawings and final construction drawings to assist with the design, remodel, relocation and/or expansion of our customers’ offices. • Create technical drawings, permit drawings, and drawings issued for final construction • Create efficient space plans • Coordinate the selection and specification of fixtures and finishes • Create custom millwork detailing and design • Support with the completion of design and equipment projects from start to completion • Source project materials, correspond with suppliers and external representatives • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required • Organize and manage the sample library

THE QUALIFICATIONS

You have a post-secondary education in interior design, architecture, or a related field complimented by those who have received accreditation from the Council for Interior Design (CIDA). You have experience in commercial design, with strong conceptual design and presentation skills complimented with barrier-free design and an understanding of the British Columbia building code. Previous experience creating working drawings, construction documents, millwork detailing, and space planning are considered an asset. You have proficiency in Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, SketchUp Studio as well as excellent mental concentration, analytical skills and presentation skills. You have exceptional customer service skills that complement your ability to connect and help support the work of the business. *this position is based in our Canadian, Vancouver Office. This role is available for a HYBRID working arrangement, available to be performed both in office and home.
