HVAC Refrigeration Technician - 2nd & 3rd Year Apprentice

Our goal is to provide an environment that respects and honor's a work-life balance. A day in the life: You will be responsible for providing service to various clients throughout Vancouver Island. As Apprentices your responsibilities will be to learn all aspects of a Journeyperson's role. Your immediate responsibilities include, but are not limited: Fill out reports accurately out reports, providing notes where necessary Tag equipment and record model and serial numbers Safe handling of refrigerant and filling out refrigerant logs Support Journeyperson on service and construction jobs Perform basic HVAC/R Maintenance Perform basic refrigeration pipping practices Perform basic hardware (ex: hinges and door closers, door gaskets) Reclaim gas Perform pressure testing, evacuating, and charging What you bring: Registered with ITA . Exceptions may be made for out-of-province workers with the appropriate and equivalent qualifications Ozone Depleting Substances certification Valid Driver's License with a relatively clean driving record Ability to lift upwards of 50lb Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Ability to communicate fluently in English Must be available to work overtime and participate in the on-call rotation Able to occasionally travel to work at other locations as needed, or travel for training purposes Why work for us?
