Instructor III - Aquafit Instructor

Description: Saanich Commonwealth Place is seeking certified Aquafit Instructors. Under the general direction of a Recreation Programmer or Program Technician, the Instructor III ensures that participants are acting in accordance to facility rules and that the facility and equipment are in safe, working condition. Aquafit Instructors are responsible for providing leadership in the program and this may include planning and preparing assigned activities; instructing assigned classes; evaluating participants; record keeping and public relations. Requirements include completion of Grade 10; certification and training in area of instruction; three months experience; Emergency First-Aid and CPR “C” as required; and a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (PIC-VS).Although we thank all applicants for applying, only those under consideration will be contacted.Successful candidates will work varying shifts, primarily weekday mornings and evenings and weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change).
