Company Description Four Lakes Mechanical Ltd. are industry experts with extensive experience in mechanical contracting in British Columbia. We provide high-quality plumbing, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, fire protection and specialty piping services. Our projects include full scope mechanical works for new build, retrofit, fit ups and tenant improvements, seismic upgrades and infrastructure expansions. We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our growing team. Job Description - Work along side senior management and site teams to facilitate all work efficiently - Participate in estimating and project securement process - Track and manage day to day paperwork for projects & current estimates - Manage and coordinate with the sub-trade and supplier teams to ensure work is carried out on site in accordance with specifications and construction schedule - Complete quantity take offs and full cost assembly for estimates and contract variations - Additional duties as assigned by company Principals - Provide answers to any questions related to estimates, risk identification, management, and mitigation - Support the Project Managers during Pre-Construction by assisting with cost analysis of items defined in the Risk Register on their projects when requested - Support the Project Managers during Construction by assisting with reviewing trade Contemplated Change Notice Pricing for fairness when requested Qualifications: - Strong communication sills and work ethic - Ability to observe, identify and offer input to improve company processes & work systems - 5 years of demonstrable experience in a similar position in the construction industry - Exemplary communication skills (verbal & written) with strong analytic, and mathematic skills. - Ability to work efficiently with a service-oriented attitude, courtesy, tact, and diplomacy - Committed to maintaining mutually respectful relationships - Ability to effectively manage time, responsibilities, and priorities - Knowledge of AutoCAD and BlueBeam is an asset - Knowledge of Procore is an asset - Knowledge of Trimble Autobid is an asset - Previous mechanical industry experience (preferred) - Previous experience in a team environment - Computer literate with emphasis on MS Office - Have access to own transportation to facilitate site visits etc. (travel is reimbursed)
