Retail Merchandiser

Overview As a merchandiser, this role helps drive volume and increase visibility of products in accounts and supports the sales teams in merchandising activities.Compensation: $22/hr plus miliage.Hours per week: 8 to 12 Responsibilities Lead merchandising efforts in customer for all products, general distribution and promotions/programs.Develop effective business relationships with assigned customersProvide management with specific and current information on competitive activity, market challenges and merchandising opportunities.Execute sales driver objectivesService and improve the marketability of our products through shelf management, display position and frequency, concept selling and price point managementPack out shelves, build and refresh displays, place POS and stock cold boxObtain feedback from accounts on effectiveness of consumer programming and report trends to managementDesign and build creative displays to showcase brandsCoordinate timing of merchandising activities with sales teams and communicate merchandising tactics to customerContinual development of industry, channel, and brand knowledgeOther duties as assigned Qualifications Must be able to:Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)Demonstrate and exhibit high levels of professionalismDemonstrate sound judgment and problem solving skillsPerform job duties in an accurate, proficient and timely mannerAttention to detail and ability to multi-taskRely on some instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobStrong interpersonal and relationship building skillsKnowledge of Liquor Board Regulations, market trends and competitionRequired Skills:College degree preferredProficient MS Office skillsMust possess a valid driver’s licenseMust be at least 19 years of age in (or 18 years of age in Alberta, Quebec, and Manitoba)Must have fully insured, reliable and appropriate transportationPhysical Demands of Job:Carrying and lifting 45-65 poundsImmediate reaching to perform various dutiesOverhead reaching to perform various dutiesStanding and walking for periods of time to perform various dutiesSquatting or bending to perform various duties as assigned Need help finding the right job?
