Tech BA + Solution Architect

Role : Tech BA + Solution Architect Location : Montreal, Canada (Onsite) Position : Contract/Fulltime Role & Responsibilities: • Partner with Technical teams to understand, elaborate requirements and if needed liaise with Line of Business, Operations partners, to bring in more clarity. • Document Functional Requirements with supporting use cases, current vs future state flow diagrams, and sequence diagrams. • Participate in technical design discussions to ensure the design meets specifications. Hands-on BA, able to: understand domain, data lineage, data model, front-to-back functions & business processes extract business rules from source code, already available analysed docs. • clearly articulate the findings in requirements, design docs, to steer design discussion • Assessment of Current Architecture and conduct a comprehensive assessment of the existing legacy architecture to understand its components, dependencies, and limitations, subsequently translate to modern architectural patterns and best practices. Identify opportunities for componentization, modularization, and decoupling to improve flexibility, maintainability, and scalability. • Provide updates to the key stakeholders in the form of ppt slides etc. on the progress and any delays or risks. • Be highly motivated, willing to learn and be flexible with work timings to collaborate closely with global teams, primarily in North America. Requirements & Primary Skills: • Prior experience in 2+ application modernization projects, with each project lasting a minimum of one year. • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners and department leads. • Proficiency in rapidly identifying key business & architectural components through block diagrams, followed by the ability to zoom into individual blocks to create detailed flow diagrams and comprehensive requirement documents • Experience in integrating Design Patterns (e.g., CQRS, Adapter, Observer) into distributed architecture • Experience in collaborative platform systems for requirements, program, and task management through standard tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, GitHub • Strong understanding of multi-tier & distributed architecture. • Understanding of Modern Technologies and familiarity with modern technologies, design patterns, and frameworks used in application development, such as cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure), microservices architecture, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), serverless computing, event or driven architecture (e.g., Kafka, MQ), etc. Nice to have: • Experience in industries related to “Settlement Services” including expertise in trade settlement, clearance, reconciliation. • Experience in working with Adabas & Natural systems • Basic project management skills to coordinate activities, discovery meetings, track progress, and prioritizing scope of deliverables
