Your New Role

In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the operational excellence of a renowned air cargo carrier. Your primary objective is to maintain the fleet's aircraft at peak reliability, adhering to meticulous standards and technical documentation. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities include certification, maintenance, and adopting a proactive approach to anticipate and address potential issues, ensuring the highest levels of safety and airworthiness.

What You Need to Succeed in This Role

Essential Position Functions:

You will play a crucial role in the assistance of the maintenance of Ground Service Equipment as established with companies Policy and Procedures by ensuring that all GSE Equipment is maintained and serviced in a timely manner. You will also assist with equipment repairs through the Preventive Maintenance Program while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

  • KEY ASSETS: Employees are preferred to process a Diploma in 310S/310T Automotive Service Technician License from an accredited school issued by the (Provincial) Ministry. Assignments are made to employees by means of oral or assigned through the GSE program.
  • You must know: Repair and maintenance and inspection of essential components such as electrical or hydraulic systems, brakes and controls.
  • Gain the required knowledge and experience to eventually become a Licensed Automotive Mechanic.

Location & Work Environment:

  • Required to work in a hangar or outdoors.
  • Required to work in Restricted areas at Airports
  • Shift work, rotating shifts (seven) 7 days a week.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Provincial Driver’s License
  • Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and an Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP).
