SUMMARY OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Training and supervision of student drivers

DETAILED LIST OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct air brakes and pre-trip inspection. Coordination of driver training according to government requirements. A structured driver training program, starting with introducing the basic driving concepts and maneuvers, then moving on to more complex driving situations when the student is ready; this process of training leads to the success of student drivers. Educate students on important skills for various road and weather conditions that will arise throughout the year. Assist students with linking knowledge, skills, and attitude to become safe and responsible drivers. Training students with good techniques/information to ensure bad habits do not occur.

QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIFIC SKILL REQUIREMENTS: (education, training, licensing, certification): Class 1 license Must possess appropriate Alberta Driving Instructor License (MELT) Great communication skills Patience Respect for the students Control of any situation that may arise

DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EFFORT FACTORS INCLUDING PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS: In cab and pre-trip training. Structuring training to fit multiple student learning needs. Driving and instructing in all weather conditions.

Job Types : Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Part-time hours: 40 per week

Salary : From $60,000.00 per year
