Contract Position: May to August 2024 (Summer Opportunity)

The Role:

The Program Support Officer is responsible for supporting the Manager and the team in the day-to-day implementation and administration of the project, this may include delivery of group-based and individual services to an active talent pool of job seekers with disabilities, participating in marketing etc. The Program Support Officer is a dynamic self-motivated individual who wants to learn more about the area of employment for persons with disabilities.

The main accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Support the delivery, as part of a team of two, of interactive virtual as well as in-person pre-employment training to jobseekers with disabilities in a motivational, accessible, inclusive, and fun environment.
  • Support Job Develop: cold calling, reaching out to local businesses to create opportunities for participants.
  • Troubleshoot program accessibility requirements for virtual participants and ensure full access to program.
  • Administration of program processes and organization of required documentation
  • Establish and maintain a database of all contacts, participants/stakeholders with whom the team communicates;
  • Participate in marketing, liaise with government departments and community organizations.
  • Address and support access to accommodations requirements, from workshop to workplace
  • Consistently follow up with clients and employers to facilitate employment retention and trouble shoot accommodations, in coordination with Employment Coach
  • Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Preform other duties as required

Requirements to be considered for this job:

  • Previous experience working in the field of human services, preference given to work with persons with disabilities.
  • Highly achievement orientated
  • Organized and comfortable with office administration, experience using MS Office Suite.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

  • Position is an in-office position to be available in person for participants.
  • Telephone and computer use
