JOB DESCRIPTION : Responsible for booking weddings and social functions with emphasize on Wedding bookings.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for sales related functions

  • Maintain and expand business from existing clients by means of personal phone calls, phone qualifications and site inspections

  • Participate in wedding and related trade shows to promote and secure new events

  • Coordination of all in house events at Cardinal such as Mother’s Day, Dinner theatre shows, etc. where needed and required as approved.

  • Responsible for confirming all menu selections, timelines, guest guarantee, linen selections, detailing of floor plans and any other details pertinent to the event.

  • Responsible for updating food and beverage operations with changes in functions and ensure that all other sales staff follow procedures as set out in the policies and procedures.

  • Will follow up on groups while in house and post function to ensure customer satisfaction of way of telephone follow up, surveys and customer satisfaction questionnaire. Responsible for accurate invoicing of social events, invoicing to completed within 48 hrs. of event. Required to follow up with conveners when events are past due and continue to monitor the account until paid. The Director of Hospitality will ensure the Event Coordinator follows the same procedure

  • Will participate in weekly function sheet meetings, management meetings and weekly bridal meetings with upcoming weddings.

  • Maintain an open line of communication with all departments to ensure continued success . :

  • Tracking of calls, online inquiries to produce monthly sales reports.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

  • 5 years’ experience in the hospitality sales industry. Sales and operational experience a must.
  • Certificate of qualification or equivalent work experience

WORKING CONDITIONS :

  • Work hours will depend on department and event needs, but will include days, evenings, and weekends. Vacation time to be assigned based on years of service.

Salary : $35,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
