Job OverviewIf you have experience with mobile mining equipment maintenance and operation and have an interest in travelling globally to support Komatsu customers & distributors in different regions of the world with underground hard rock product commissioning, product technical training, factory advanced support and technical advice, this role is ideal for you. Reporting to the Global Product Support & Reliability Manager, Komatsu is searching for a Factory Technical Support Specialist who will responsible provide expert technical service assistance in installation and training on Underground Hard Rock Mining equipment to Komatsu distribution service teams and customers around the world.Key Job Responsibilities Responsible for providing second tier quality technical support to customers when field support is not available or cannot resolve customer technical questions or concerns. Ensure customers are provided with technical data as needed to support the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of both new and rebuilt equipment. Assist engineering, sales and product management teams in development of customer specifications when preparing specific machine proposals. Assist in creation of capital equipment product priority parts listings. Report any EHS concerns including product related. Provides technical training to customer and service regions on proper operation, maintenance and troubleshooting practices. Provides technical support to end users, operators, and regional/dealer service personnel in cases of complex technical issues. Provides relevant feedback to factory to enable improvements to the equipment or its operation. Provides assistance in compiling accurate data to process warranty claims and engineering machine improvements. Reviews spare parts recommendations and develops accuracy of Machine Life Operating Costs (MLOC). Investigates warranty claims proactively and reactively to enhance customer satisfaction and provide feedback to the respective factories. Assists operations with field-testing and trials of new products and updated components to ensure proper and safe operation. Performs equipment demonstrations in a safe manner. Assists in the training of distributors/dealers as applicable. Completes accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists as applicable.
