Summary : Under the direction of the General Manager, the Field Service Manager, Mechanical Services, manages the overall operations within an assigned region, and is accountable for the effective planning, organizing, directing, controlling, production, and evaluating all operations of the Mechanical Services Division of the Fort McKay Group of Companies. The incumbent is to conduct all activities in a manner that supports the missions, vision, and values of the Fort McKay Group of Companies LP. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires completion of pre-employment testing.

Key Focuses :

  • Provide clear expectations to the Service Line, to ensure the delivery of support and services to the client operations.
  • Work in collaborations with the HSE Manager to ensure adherence to Fort McKay Group of Companies Safety programs and policies, as well as the Safety policies of our clients
  • Organize and lead efforts to investigate, identify, and implement solutions related to process issues, customer quality issues, process improvements, productivity issues, and any other variances within the scope of work or position.
  • Accountable for managing the direct and indirect costs, ensuring that the support provided meets the clients operational objectives by reviewing labour requirements, schedules, and reports on a regular basis.
  • Maintains strong relationships with the client, contractors, suppliers, to ensure the client needs are met and to secure future business opportunities.
  • Mentors, guides, and coaches direct reports to ensure adherence to established processes, provide support and assistance to direct reports as required.
  • Participate in Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA) as part of the daily operations, make recommendations and adjustments as needed.
  • Review and monitor daily/weekly operations documentation and reports, to ensure that company, client, and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes
  • Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Assist HSE with all matters pertaining to Safety, as well as Human Resources with all matters related to conducting interviews, discipline, hiring, termination.
  • Perform any related and/or additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements :

  • Completion of a High School Diploma is required.
  • Post-secondary diploma, PMP or a Bachelors degree in Business Administration or other discipline is considered an asset.
  • A valid Class 5 License (or equivalent) is required, along with a satisfactory 3-year Drivers Abstract.
  • CSO/BSO is required.
  • Knowledge in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
  • Experience in SAP and/or Ceridian Dayforce is considered an asset.
  • Effective communicator and interpersonal skills, including excellent oral, written communication, and listening skills
  • Ability to work independently and multitask, as well as in a team environment. Able to relate to all types of people.
  • Focus oriented, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Promote and assist in the effective implementation of FMGOC Safety programs and processes.
  • Excellent time-management skills.

This is a full time position located in Bonnyville, AB. Must reside in Bonnyville, AB.
