Kinosoo Ridge - Ski & Snowboard Instructors

Function : Ski & Snowboard Instructors are responsible for teaching guests of all ages and abilities to improve their ski and/or snowboard skills.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Instruct guests of all ages and abilities according to CASI/CSIA standards to help improve their ski and/or snowboard skills.
• Teach private and group lessons.
• Assist with the organization of school group lessons and camps.
• Participate in weekly training as a department to ensure quality instruction.
• Ensure public and personal safety when using all ski lifts.
• Perform general labour and maintenance tasks on the ski hill as required.
• Assist customers in the rental area as required.
• Adhere to the Alpine Responsibility Code.
• Perform other related duties within the scope of the position as required.

Qualifications :

• CSIA/CASI certification or international equivalent.
• CADS experience or certification will be considered an asset.
• Mature, energetic, dependable, punctual, reliable, and self-motivated.
• First Aid training will be considered an asset.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Maintain a personable and positive attitude when assisting customers.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work with people of all ages and skill levels.
• Ability to perform job tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Professional attitude and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Will be required to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
• Class 5 driver’s license will be considered an asset.

Working Conditions :

• Work hours may vary with customer demand.
• Primarily work outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions.
• High customer volume and fast-paced environment.
• Must have a flexible schedule with the availability to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Physical Requirements :

• Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs., and push and pull up to 75 lbs.
• Required to stand outdoors for extended periods of time.
