What you’ll do The Director, University Relations reports to the VP University Relations and provides strategic support to the Vice President. Taking a portfolio-wide approach, the position assists with the tracking and reporting of metrics for Envisioning 2030; liaises with a broad range of offices across the University, as well as internal and external stakeholders including senior government, private industry and donors to develop and foster positive relationships and lead strategic projects, as required. The Director will lead the administrative and operational functioning aspects of the portfolio, including the planning and coordination of administrative procedures and systems, operating budgets and human resources plans. The position has one direct report: the Manager, University Events and Ceremonies. Coordinate and proactively manage the University Relations’ strategic and integrated planning processAssist in the implementation of cross-department business processes required to support University Relations.Generate research and create recommendations for appropriate course of action for potential partnershipsPrepare University Relations’ operating units’ (5) budgets and assess on a regular basis; monitor expenditures and recommend strategies for financial efficiencies.Ensure consistent financial management processes across University Relations.Serve as key liaison to Finance Budget Manager, meeting quarterly to report out on portfolio’s performance.Develop and maintain appropriate policies, procedures, and business practices in support of University Relations. What you’ll bring Bachelor’s degree and minimum seven years’ related experience in areas such as university development operations, integrated planning, budget creation and providing advice and consultation to senior leadership and leadership volunteers, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Expert knowledge of fundraising campaign design and implementation.Interpersonal and communication skills.Organizational and strategic and project management skills.Budget planning and financial management skills.Organizational design and time-management skills.Analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Posting Detail Information Days and Hours of Work Our standard work week is Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm. Bridge Period (if applicable) Pay Group 14 Salary This position has a salary range of $111,289 (minimum) to $148,385 (midpoint) to $170,643 (maximum) per annum.
