Correct Fire & Security is a small, family-owned company based out of Elora, ON. We install, repair and maintain security alarm systems, camera systems, card access systems and fire safety equipment for residential, commercial and industrial customers throughout Southern Ontario. We are also licensed electrical contractors.

Responsibilities :

  • Install, test and repair security, access and camera surveillance systems in residential, commercial and industrial settings under guidance
  • Diagnose, locate and repair wire, component and equipment faults under guidance
  • Assist with running cabling/wiring in residential, commercial and industrial settings
  • Programming and setup of alarm systems, camera systems, access control systems, etc. under guidance
  • Complete work orders and reports as required
  • Complete assigned tasks and projects as required
  • Maintain a safe and organized working area
  • Provide customer service as required
  • Follow all health and safety policies and guidelines

Knowledge, Skills & Experience :

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid G driver’s license
  • WHMIS 2015 certification (will train)
  • Working at Heights and/or Aerial Work Platform training (asset)
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Work Conditions & Requirements :

  • Hot, cold, dirty, dusty, dirty, noisy environments both indoors and outdoors
  • Ladder and/or platform work
  • Use/wear and maintain PPE in accordance with company policy and manufacturer requirements
  • CSA green tag steel tow footwear is required

This is an entry-level position that offers the opportunity for growth within our company. We will provide on-the-job training to help you develop your skills as a technician.
