This position can reside in any of our eleven locations; Calgary, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Red Deer, Sherwood Park, Grande Prairie, Fort. McMurray, Peace River, Fort. St. John, Regina, Estevan.

The Opportunity

As a Drafting Technologist, you will be responsible for working alongside our team of engineering, planning and drafting specialists to translate high-level conceptual designs from preliminary, through to detailed design. Some of your daily responsibilities will be: Maintaining consistent design drafting standards across all projects; Produce technical explanatory notes and sketches; Assist with project timelines and ensure deadlines are met; Knowledge of codes, standards, and compliances; Strong problem-solving and organizational skills; Detailed and team-orientated; Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS office software; Familiarity and experience with GIS would be considered an asset

Qualifications

1-3 years of related experience

Firm understanding of AutoCAD and Civil 3D

Understanding of civil and construction practices would be considered an asset

Ability to work with mínimal supervision and communicate effectively with co-workers, and management team

Team orientated with a commitment to safety excellence
