We have a great opportunity in Richmond, BC for an experienced Warehouse Associate who has great people skills! What you need to know: Position: Temporary to permanent Role: Warehouse Associate Schedule: Monday to Friday Shift: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Location: Richmond, BC Payrate: $22-$26/hr based on experience and skill set *Must be legally permitted to work fulltime in BC, Canada* * Must have certification for Raymond Reach truck * Advantages * Full-time with opportunity for permanent hire * Weekly pay deposits with the option of 4% vacation pay added weekly * Small but cohesive and supportive team environment * Opportunity for growth and career advancement Responsibilities * Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents against purchase orders or invoices, and inspect them for damage or defects * Accurately record received quantities and update inventory systems accordingly * Properly store and arrange inventory in designated locations within the warehouse * Ensure items are labeled correctly * Regularly conduct inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels * Order picking and packing * Prepare shipments for outgoing delivery by selecting appropriate carriers, creating shipping labels, and arranging transportation logistics * Receive and process returns or exchanges as needed * Safely operate warehouse equipment such as Raymond Reach, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move, stack, and transport materials * Provide accurate and up-to-date information about our products and services to customers; and a willingness to learn * Respond to customer service calls in a courteous and professional manner including addressing client inquires such as order status, payment, and refunds etc. * Responsible for accurately entering customer orders for existing and new customers * Work with branch team to ensure branch and showroom is merchandized and kept tidy and clean Qualifications * 3-5 years experience working in a warehouse environment including previous experience with shipping/receiving, inventory control, and picking/packing * Certification on Raymond Reach truck required * Previous customer service experience * Ability to work independently and as a team player * Great communication skills verbal, written, and comprehension * Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously * Must be legally permitted to work full time in BC, Canada * Must be able to pass a criminal background check Summary If this sounds like the perfect job opportunity for you, look no further!
