Our client is seeking an experienced General Manager to provide strong leadership and drive business success. The ideal candidate will excel in financial management, HR, and operational oversight and has experience in the Horticulture industry. This position will oversee 5-6 additional managers and report directly into the President. Work alongside a well tenured excellent team!Responsibilities:• Provide strong leadership to ensure teamwork and positive employee relations.• Direct and coordinate activities to achieve long-term goals and business growth.• Guard procedures, provide coaching, and follow up on project executions.• Review and analyze reports to keep management informed and identify trends.• Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and networks.• Develop a high-performance organization for future success.• Oversee office/field operations, systems, and procedures.• Develop automated systems and procedures for record management.• Ensure legal and ethical business operations.• Maintain current and valid insurance.• Improve relations with employees, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.• Maintain productive relationships with regulatory authorities.• Listen to field team feedback and provide prompt responses.Financial Responsibilities:• Focus on delivering positive financial results.• Analyze project results with the senior accountant.• Prepare annual budgets, schedule expenditures, and initiate corrective actions.• Check and finalize payments (local and overseas) following the four-eye principle.• Ensure accurate contract administration.• Oversee weekly cash flow and A/R reports; maintain spreadsheets.• Purchase foreign currency and monitor exchange rate trends.• Present quarterly P&L reports and review project budgets with managers.Human Resources Responsibilities:• Maintain close contact with HR.• Act as a liaison between field and office staff.• Oversee office staff, training, and ensure fair evaluations.• Assist in maintaining an efficient administrative team.• Plan and implement office systems and equipment procurement.• Design and implement policies, measure results, and make adjustments.• Develop and guard effective management systems.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or related field; MBA preferred.• Minimum of 7 years in a senior management role with a focus on finance, HR, and operations.• Horticulture industry experience would be a great asset.• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.• Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office Suite.• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance.Why work here:Great benefits, fantastic team, company car if needed, cellphone, lots of fun events all year round!If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, please apply now!
