Head Cook

The Cook is responsible to the Lodge Manager for the menu planning, organizing and preparing all meals and food services.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Journeyman cook preferred, but not required
  • Working knowledge of preparing meals for senior populations
  • Considerable experience in group / institutional cooking
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • WHMIS and First Aid training required
  • Food Handling course required

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Preparation of menus
  • Planning, organizing and preparing of any special food events
  • Directing the preparation of food
  • General organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, housekeeping and food storage areas
  • Ordering food and housekeeping supplies
