Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual who can work across disciplines, invest time in developing and managing relationships, and deliver exceptional client projects through a combination of Project Management capability and team leadership. Your role will be instrumental in the continued growth of ARMELO Engineering and the successful delivery of client projects through developing, planning, and delivering scopes of work in a high paced environment, fostering collaboration and communication with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

This is a hybrid role that includes both onsite work in and around the Greater Toronto Area and the flexibility for some remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team in the planning, design, and execution of multiple complex multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure adherence to timelines and financial targets.

• Coordinate with internal departments, external stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions.

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex engineering challenges.

• Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure they meet project requirements.

• Conduct regular project meetings to update stakeholders on progress, discuss issues, and make decisions to keep projects on track.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

• Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing and collaborative work environment.

• Prepare and present project status reports and presentations to senior management and key stakeholders.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Must be willing to travel to client sites located in and around the GTA up to 2 days per week.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation required.

• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in the Province of Ontario strongly preferred.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering and project management in manufacturing, utilities or a related field.

• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in project management tools and software.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to utilities infrastructure.

• Knowledgeable in electrical distribution system design, construction, maintenance, system operations, and risk management principles.

• Knowledgeable in mechanical system design, construction, maintenance, system operations, and risk management principles.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Highly proficient working with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project, PowerPoint and Excel.

• Proven track record of applying Project and Program Management concepts and methodologies.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills.
