Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Technician is a member of the Quality Assurance Department and reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.

Essential Responsibilities : Ensuring day-to-day manufacturing practices and product quality standards are met.

Inspects products during the extrusion process.

  • Compares product with customer specifications
  • Makes decision on product status and marks defect type
  • Tests incoming raw materials and records date of inspection
  • Operates diagnostic equipment needed to perform job
  • Follows all safety requirements
  • Achieving quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews
  • Implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions
  • Developing quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses
  • Identifying critical control points and preventive measures
  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits
  • Preparing quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Ability to learn and use laboratory and inspection equipment

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Computer proficiency

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds :

  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and nights (continental Shifts). :

  • Excellent decision-making and time-management skills

  • Post-Secondary education and/or related Quality Assurance experience

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Please note this is a full-time onsite role. We are located in Ajax, Ontario close to Hwy 401 and accessible via public transit, free parking is available. Remote/Hybrid work is not available for this position.
