Why this role matters

As a Community Manager at Vonage, you will primarily work on identifying and establishing relationships with key developer communities and community leaders in the North America (NA) region, in order to understand their needs, and build a collaborative environment to ensure we can authentically and effectively serve them. You will work as part of a global team whose goal is to raise awareness of Vonage within developer communities, run engaging physical and online events and campaigns and gather actionable product feedback through community building activities.

What you will do

  • Plan and manage the developer relations team's involvement at third-party conferences, hackathons, meet-ups, workshops and other events
  • Develop and run our own physical and virtual events, communications campaigns and other developer outreach and product feedback activities
  • Engage with our community members at events or online
  • Establish and manage all systems, tooling and processes needed to efficiently deliver all aspects of community events and planning
  • Use tooling to track, understand and report on insights and analytics to inform our community strategy and activities
  • Work with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Engineering and other departments within Vonage to deliver the above and promote developer relations internally and externally
  • Create related content for social media, blogs and other channels
  • Work with vendors on program-related swag, design and more
  • Participate in other developer community initiatives as needed
  • Manage future Vonage developer champion programs end to end

What you will bring

  • We're looking for someone who is familiar with global tech communities and ecosystems - an excellent communicator with experience in both event management and community building.

Desirable

  • Experience working in tech, especially as part of a developer relations team
  • Copy writing for demand generation campaigns and partnering with marketing teams to drive growth
  • Experience running a developer rewards or champions program
  • Able to create simple design assets and edit video content
  • We primarily communicate in English but any other language is a plus!
