We are searching a Senior Human Resources Business Partner / Associate HR Director for our people and business in Montreal, West-Island, Quebec. Please note that this role is an on-site role only and hybrid working is not possible in this current role and cultural setting. The role: Our team is expanding, and we are hiring a Human Resources Business Partner to assist our employees and site management with consultancy in various HR-related matters and provide general support to promote a positive work environment. What you will do: Be the point of contact for our employees on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to employment policies and general workplace information. Ensure HR training, policies and procedures are consistently communicated and implemented. Keep abreast of employment laws and regulations and ensure that the organization & HR practices comply with legal requirements. Support additional projects related to establishing or improving new HR processes and HR systems (HRIS). Maintain document support systems to ensure that managers and employees always have access to current and compliant documents and support the implementation of changes as required. Act as a liaison between the Talent Acquisition and Payroll & Benefits Specialist. Be the person to go to for employee relations and foster a positive culture and environment. Your main skills: Bachelor’s degree in human resources/legal/ psychology or similar field. 5+ years of professional experience in HR Business Partner roles and ideally in an manufacturing environment and chemical or laboratory industry. Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work, and maintain an organised workspace and culture. Proficient in using office software such as Outlook, Office365, etc. Able to work well with diverse teams and collaborate across departments, cultures and countries. Experienced in guiding and advising management on people performance strategies, but needs to be hands-on enough to play a generalist role. Experience with labor laws and managing CNEEST case procedures. Proactive problem-solver with fluency in written and spoken French and English.
