Our Offer for you Site: Cold Lake, AB Schedule: 8 days on 6 days off, 10 hours per shift Compensation: Competitive wages, Benefits and Overtime Why Work for Us Stuart Olson is currently seeking Insulators for our client site in Cold Lake, AB for a July 2024 start date on our Maintenance team working 8 on, 6 off, 10 hours per day. Preference given to local candidates. No Camp, No Travel or No LOA provided. Responsibilities Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements. Select the amount and type of insulation to be installed as well as a method of securing the insulation according to the type and shape of the surface, whether, or not the equipment is cold or hot, inside or outside, and what the equipment is going to be used for. Measure and cut insulating material and coverings to the required shape and dimensions. Fit insulation around obstructions or shape insulation materials and protective coverings. Install vapor barriers and finish insulated surfaces by applying metal cladding, plastic or cement. Working Conditions Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions Working at heights Working in and around noise and dust Must be clean shaven Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc. Qualifications Journeyperson Ticket, or Proof of hours Valid Driver’s License Driver’s Abstract Emergency First Aid CSTS 2020 Energy Safety Canada tickets: Fall Protection H2S Alive Gas Detection Pre-access Drug and Alcohol test Physical Requirements Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50lbs. with assistance Stand or walk for long periods of time Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects Who We Are Stuart Olson has been positively impacting the businesses we serve, the communities in which we operate, and the lives we touch since 1911.
