Overview

The Junior Graphic Designer at BarBurrito is a dynamic role focused on creating compelling visual content across various digital platforms. This position plays a crucial part in the marketing team, utilizing creativity and design skills to enhance the brand's online presence. The ideal candidate will excel in designing engaging content for social media, email campaigns, and website updates, aimed at boosting brand awareness and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing engaging and visually appealing content for social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, including posts, stories, and ads that support the brand's social media strategy.
  • Brainstorming and planning innovative content ideas for social media to effectively capture the audience's attention and convey the brand's message.
  • Crafting email campaigns that engage subscribers, promote offers, and communicate news, involving design of templates, graphics, and layout adjustments.
  • Designing ads focused on lead generation, such as sign-ups or app downloads.
  • Updating and refining website design elements to enhance user experience.
  • Conducting research on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform design strategy.
  • Collaborating in meetings with the marketing team and other departments to ensure cohesive efforts.
  • Managing administrative tasks including handling emails and scheduling.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a graphic design role, preferably with a focus on digital content creation.
  • A portfolio demonstrating experience with social media content, email campaigns, and web design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp).
  • Knowledge of current web design trends and techniques.
  • Familiarity with social media advertising standards and formats.
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality design work.
