Job Title: Senior Process & Procedures Writer

Summary:

We are seeking two experienced Senior Process & Procedures Writers with exceptional technical writing skills (10 or 15+ years) and expertise in project management procedure development. Reporting to the Coordinator – Analysis & Procedures, you will play a pivotal role in translating complex project management, project controls, engineering, and construction management processes into comprehensive and user-friendly procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rapidly acquire in-depth knowledge of project management, project controls, engineering, and construction management processes to create detailed, easy-to-follow procedures.
  • Conduct research, benchmarking, and analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement within the ECE Group.
  • Craft user-friendly procedures tailored to meet the needs of subject matter experts.
  • Evaluate existing document content and propose revisions to enhance process development.
  • Ensure the completeness, clarity, and accuracy of draft documents through ongoing collaboration with subject matter experts and rigorous quality checks.
  • Develop and maintain templates that align with organizational and legal standards, facilitate data input, and present process steps sequentially.
  • Ensure adherence to procedure schedules throughout initiation, review, finalization, and implementation processes.

Qualifications and Experience: Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience as a technical procedure writer in project management, project controls, engineering, or construction management, including proficiency in process mapping, flowcharting, and procedure writing.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with engineers to distill complex information into clear written instructions and support content with visuals and diagrams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated capacity to grasp complex subject matter quickly and manage multiple projects within defined timelines and directives.
  • Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business Analysis and Process Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance).

Nice to Have:

  • Certification or coursework in Project Management disciplines (e.g., Project Management Fundamentals, Project Management Principles, Project Cost Management, Project Resources: Planning and Scheduling, Risk Management, Contract Management).
