Job Details Description PurposeThe Communications Intern is a strong multi-tasker with an interest in a broad range of corporate communications functions, including media and public relations, internal communications, stakeholder relations, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will be excited to be part of a talented communications team, enthusiastic to learn about media and business, and keen to contribute to projects and discussions. The role reports to the Manager, Communications, and supports across the Communications & Sustainability team. Key Areas of Accountability Key project: Asset archive • Collate and accurately caption photo and video assets from across the company, particularly historical archives, for future corporate communication use• Create an index of the archive to support with more efficient and effective retrieval Media and Public Relations• Support the communications team with drafting media materials, including media releases, interview talking points, and other communications products • Stay current on media and travel industry trends and insights to identify opportunities for the companyInternal Communications• Work with departments across the business to draft engaging intranet posts, to inform and connect our team members • Support the development and implementation of internal team engagement events • Measure and report on internal communication channels and activitiesQualificationsEducation/Certifications/Knowledge• Working towards post-secondary education in communications, public relations, journalism, or related fieldSkills• An understanding of the media landscape, emerging trends, and the roles of earned and owned media• Excellent interpersonal communications and presentation skills• Superior writing and editing skills• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage projects from beginning to end Qualifications Skills Behaviors : Motivations : Education Experience Licenses & Certifications
