The Township of is currently recruiting for a regular full-time Senior Network Infrastructure Analyst to join our team of professionals in the Corporate Administration Division, Information Technology Department. Reporting to the Manager, Network and Security, in this unionized position you will be responsible for identifying and proposing opportunities to maximize secure and effective use of corporate network infrastructure systems and assessing business requirements for client departments.

Responsibilities : Project lead on acquisition and implementation of approved IT infrastructure systems Evaluate available network, server, storage, voice infrastructure systems and prepare recommendations Evaluate user requirements for systems including, identifying and recommending hardware, software, and related services Research, recommend and prepare reports, guidelines and procedures for computer security Plan, assign and supervise the work of a small group of employees engaged in maintaining the server, voice/data network systems and security solutions Establish effective communication with users, suppliers and applicable internal/external contacts Keep informed of developments in IT hardware, software and cyber-security related matters Represent the department at meetings and provide advise/assistance to users as required Perform related work as required Qualifications: Two-year diploma from an institute of technology in systems and programming, plus considerable related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience Considerable knowledge and hands on working experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco Technologies Switching, Wireless,Firewall, Endpoint Working knowledge and experience with one or more of the additional technologies used at the Township of including F5 technologies Big IP, APM, ASM, Azure Cloud Azure AD, O365, Exchange, Intune, Teams, MFA, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, SIEM, VMWare ESX, vCenter, Orchestrator, SRM and experience with deployment and management of digital certificates CompTIA Certifications in Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA or higher, PCCSA, PCNSA, PCNSE and certifications and/or formal training in any of the above technologies is desirable. The CUPE rate of pay for this position is $. - $. per hour 5 steps, rates plus benefits. The hours of work are to 8: 30am - 4: 30pm.
